I know this is an old post, but I had to comment.
Winning bid...$400!!! Holy crap! It's nothing more than a flimsy piece of non-functional plastic. I had one in the back of my 73, and if anyone sat on it, it would be destroyed. $400 bucks?! NOS 2nd Gen Rear Console on Ebay: 4/12/13 1443463959

Yup my thoughts exactly, but its only new once.

I paid $256 for a NOS rear hatch release button for my Recaro... the dash buttons have a tendency to fade to gray from UVs and if they fail, good luck finding another.
