Formula Firebird
My bird was a base model with a 305. I installed a 350. I ordered a decal set and it came with Formula 350 stickers.
What other options did the Formula have besides 350 c.i.?
I want to put these decals on my car, but i want to be sure that there weren't any other options that i don't have i.e. skirts, t-tops, fuel injection, tint.
thanks Joe.

Re: Formula Firebird
Not sure what you mean.
You want to put Formula decals on your car, and it's not a Formula?
Options that a Formula had, that your car didn't have?
Formulas and Trans Ams all had things standard that Base Firebirds didn't even have.
Some that a Base Firebird could have as a option, but alot you couldn't even get.
WS6 is one big item that Formulas and Trans Am shared.
Base Firebirds never got that option.
WS6 was standard on Formulas for the thirdgens, but an option on Trans Ams.

Re: Formula Firebird
Joe,
The 1985 Firebird models were the first year the LB9 Tuned Port Injected 305 was released, but only with an Automatic. The LG4 305 (carbureted, E4ME Q-Jet) was the base V8. The L69 H.O. 305 was still on the option list, but now only available with the Borg-Warner T-5.
There was no "Formula" in 1985.
The 1985 Firebird, came with a new dash with redesigned gauges that use an graph patterned background, new door panels, new T handle shifter for autos, new console, updated stereo, dash mounted map pocket and a new steering wheel.
T-tops in the 1985 Firebird were redesigned in mid-'83 to use pin mounting. 1985 Firebird received a restyled nose with wrap-around strips and but used the earlier style tail lenses, only the T/A recieved the newer style tail lights, which were blacked-out with the grid theme.. The Firebird Trans Am's "Power Bulge" Turbo hood was discontinued in favor of new flat hood with twin louvered non functioning nostrils. When the "Formula" returned in 1987, all Formula's recieved a non-functional version of the '82-'84 Turbo Hood.
WS6 was now only optional on the Trans Am. It was no longer available on the Firebird S/E. The WS6 option was upgraded to almost the same specs found on the 1984 15th Anniversary Edition Trans Am. It featured a faster-ratio steering box, 34mm front and 23mm rear sway bars, Aluminum 16" 20 slot, "Aero Tech" wheels (WS6 only option), 4 Wheel Disc Brakes, G80 Positraction.

Re: Formula Firebird
A little late to this thread but the L69 H.O. 305 continued into the first few months of 1986 Production.
