Converting drum brakes to power disc brakes on a Firebird
Has anyone converted drum brakes to disc brakes on their Firebird?
It may be easier to buy the whole kit calipers, rotors, brackets, brake lines, spindles, master cylinder and brake booster, since it has everything you need to put power disc brakes on the front of your Firebird in one box.
If you are converting to power disc brakes it is better to convert the brake system without major modifications.
You want to get a spindle kit that accepts factory ball joints and tie rod ends, so you won't have major modifications required for installation for 15" wheels.
The kit from NPD includes spindles, rotors, loaded calipers, caliper brackets, dust shields, bearings, seals. dust caps, spindle nuts, banjo bolts, power brake booster, master slotted and drilled rotors, and stainless braided hoses. The only other things one may consider are a new master cylinder and proportioning valve.

Larry what's the cost for the NPD Kit? If you go with the NPD Kit are you planning on doing the work yourself? If so you want some help?
