Re: My 71 is heading for the Shop
Take some photos of the body panels, sanding and finish work before the paint goes on.
The project looks like it has quite a few welds and seams to smooth out.

I am really enjoying following your project along Rick. Thanks for sharing all the info and photos.
Re: My 71 is heading for the Shop
Rick,
It has been a while since you posted.
Have you been working on the 1971 TA during the holidays or did you take some time off?
I was wondering how the body panels and finish work is going before the paint goes on?

Re: My 71 is heading for the Shop
Judy and I spent the last two weeks in Las Vegas with our Grandson Landon and his parents (Kara and Jamie). I posted some pictures on page 5 of this post of the completed primed panels. They really came out nice. I won't beable to make it back to the shop until January 14th. The body should be finished by then and ready for paint. I will be working with Jim on finishing the sanding all the other body parts (Doors, Fenders, Hood, and Noise). Hope to have the painting finished by mid February and all back to gether and Home by the end of March.
Re: My 71 is heading for the Shop
Well let me start with THIS NEW ENGLAND WINTER REALLY SUCKS!
Most of the progress has been small things: replacing both the front windshield and rear window, removing and refinishing the power window assemblies, and receiving more parts (new carpet, new driver and passenger windows, and a million other small parts). Hope to get the door mechanical parts installed (power window assemblies and power locks). Maybe even get the hood and fenders installed.
I was surprised at just how bad they were and even more surprised that the worked at all.

Well the last two Fridays I have been putting to interior back in. Every thing is now color matched. Only thing left is the driver seat, a lot of screws, and wiring to reconnect.

WOW Rick,
You've done a LOT of work to that car this winter.
It's going to look fantastic when you get it back on the road.
Can't wait to see it in person!

"I'm hoping to have her home in two weeks."
That's the same thing they told me about my car ... two weeks....lol
That sounds great... you will be able to do a few cruises and maybe a few shows with the rest of us.
