Trunk alignment issue and ( fix )

I went to fit my trunk lid on and it didnt fit. the right side was higher then the quarter. I guess that maybe from 30 years of body twist and the car in a barn with one flat tire for 8 years.

any way this is what I came up with. the left side is fine. and along the tail panel looked good. all I needed was the right hinge side to come down about 3/16"

what I did was cut the hinge from the far end of it to the rear of the car . not cutting it off all the way because it didnt need to come down at the tail.
once cut I pushed up on the lid to close the gap and welded it shut.
