That is one nice steering wheel. I never knew the 69 was different from the sec gen steering wheels.

This looks like a second generation Trans Am steering wheel to me.

According to the technical options page on firstgenfirebird.org the option package code was WS4.

The Y86 package was the Decor Group and option code 461 for Trans Ams was the Deluxe Steering Wheel.

Here is a picture of the 1969 Pontiac Trans Am steering wheel code 461.

my car was a very late production car build August 28 and this wheel came out mid August and ran to mid Sept and the diff between this wheel and a 2 gen is it is much thinner and its the wings down horn cap
