2011 Events and Stuff to Do

I am SICK of winter. I need to drive a cool Firebird again. So I am trying to set my targets for the fun shows for 2011. What are you guys doing? I think I will hit these shows at a minimum in addition to at least a few Panera Bread Cruises and various other cruise nights.

April 3rd, Ty Rods Swap Meet at Stafford Springs. Acres of parts. A great place to pick up tools you need cheap. Ames usually shows up and if you order something they will usually bring it there for no shipping fee.

June 5th, The Pioneer Valley GTO Association 13th annual car show. We'll have a Firebird paddock and Best Firebird trophy. We usually bring the Peter Pan Futur Liner as well.

July 7th to 9th, Saratoga Springs. I'm making a vacation of it this year definitely. Thursday says there will eb a tailgate party. Maybe we can barbeque or something.

August 26th to 28th: Trans Am Nationals in Dayton Ohio. I am seriously considering going this year. I might fly. If anyone is interested in going let me know. Maybe we could do a bus trip or something.

Yeah Martin I feel the same way. The best one of all is the cruise to and from the All Firebird Lawn Show in NY.

I'm hoping to get a bird cruise to the northfield drive-in sometime this summer.

A drive in is a really cool idea. I took my family to one last year to see Chimps in Space or something like that. It was a great time. I think it was in Mansfield CT.

I'm really liking the Drive In thing. I didn't thank there were any still left.

There's a drive-in right near me on rte 9 in Leicester.

I actually contacted the Mansfield one to inquire about renting one screen (they have three). They basically said they couldn't unless a movie would have broad appeal. They also said they still need film and that was difficult to get.
