Trans Am Nationals
I just made reservations at the Dayton Marriott for the Trans Am Nationals coming August 23rd to the 25th. I doubt I will drive the Trans Am but without Saratoga this year I will have Firebird DTs. Is anyone else planning to go?
Re: Trans Am Nationals
I`m itchy to go & have that week off and I don`t wanna drive alone but would be willing to ride shotgun and share gas & toll expenses.Let me know so I can reserve my room.

Re: Trans Am Nationals
Steve,
I thought about taking my 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible to the Trans Am Nationals on August 23rd to the 25th. The trip is about 800 miles and takes 13 hours.
Even with gas at $4.15 for premium and 12 miles per gallon, this 1600 mile round trip would be pricey.
I decided that the car is running perfect now that I have the carb rebuilt and I just do not want to push my luck running the car for 16 hours on the highway.
If someone has a trailer that I could borrow I would consider towing the car there with my truck.
So I decided to spend that weekend at Carlisle PA for the Car Show car corral. I want to buy and sell a car and decided to go there instead.

John, you're welcome to ride with me. I'm not sure I will drive the Ta yet. Rick, are you stopping by Mike's house on the way?
