"The Project" Empty "The Project"

Well, I have had this car for 10 years I think. With the growing of a family and work duties, the extra money and time has kept me from doing much until recently.

Here is what the car looked like when I first got it

Shortly after that picture was taken, the car looked like this

"The Project" P1030456

"The Project" P1030457

Fast forward 9 years to last spring and you get this

"The Project" P1030585

Since then, I have stripped the car back down, and started the sheet metal repair

"The Project" P1040484

"The Project" P1040486

"The Project" P1040501

what I started to fix

"The Project" P1040509

"The Project" P1040506

"The Project" P1040584

"The Project" P1040583

learned how to heat shrink here

"The Project" P1040744

"The Project" P1040743

Then decided that I had to replace this section

"The Project" P1040747

Put it back together

"The Project" P1040849

Enlisted some help

"The Project" P1040819

repaired and reinstalled frame mount

"The Project" P1050083

Which leads us to what I got accomplished a few days ago

"The Project" P1050099
Now I can finish fixing the floor and carry on else where.

I'm not happy with how the toe board fix came out but I can't afford to cut it out and start over so it will have to stay. Luckily that mess won't ever get seen from below.

This car was in a minor fender bender but I didn't realize the extent of the damage until after I pulled it apart.

Well that's "The Project" thus far

You have put in a lot of time, money and labor into the car and the work looks good.

The car looked to be a pretty solid second gen car from the first photos.

You patched and welded the worst rusty metal and now have solid metal.

Thanks for the compliments and words of encouragement.

My son is funny!! He comes in flying and after 10 mins his attention runs out and then he goes and does something else. Makes me chuckle

Nice to see you have still kept her, after all these years.
I have a coupld that I've held onto so long as well.
Only I haven't started doing much lately. :|
